Alrihkh A very pleasant and mindful excursion for spirits seeking reason and rhyme. Melodic, smooth, and contemplative—with a progressive air of wonder to it. Very nice mellotron playing.
7.5/10. Favorite track: Lost Sacred Things.

Nickie Harte Kelly Here we have progressive music, in what I think of as California style. The Lost Coast is a mostly undeveloped and wild region in Mendocino and Humboldt counties. The music here reflects the expansive, yet intimate feeling of experiencing it in person. There is a lovely balance between electric and acoustic instrumentation and the lyrics are a thoughtful reminiscence of journeying through that land and it’s history. Favorite track: Lost Sacred Things.

Carsten Pieper There's a good reason why this reminded me of Californian proggers Farmhouse Odyssey: Aaron Laughlin is a member and ohne of their voices ;-)
This EP offers a very pleasant kind of folky acoustic prog (with diversions into electric or symphonic regions). Favorite track: Unbroken.
TheEliteExtremophile

TheEliteExtremophile There are plenty of nimble guitar riffs, idyllic verses, and rich Mellotron flute and strings. Lost Coast is frequently moody and brooding in its instrumental moments, with fuzzy leads and otherworldly, ethereal backdrops. The closing “Lost Sacred Things” is an especially impressive piece of songcraft.

And I’m lulled in By the sound of low, weeping waves. They tumble on and on Forever howling memories. And I want to reach out And join with invisible hands As I lay and dream, And tune time’s turning. I listen a while as the waves conversate; The sun, the moon, the hollow wood Weave lost words And commemorate. Each wandering mist that dampens old meadows, Murmuring winds that carry every breath, I’m in your debt Just one small strand in the web.

The stillness in fog-quiet cliffs In layers of song and dream Crystal skies entangle me Breathe in clear night Sunrise-stream and stone weave With the mountain’s memory Listening In layers of song and dream

Unbroken 04:16
Battered leaves all fallen from wind and rain, Redwood and Doug Fir pines. Echoes from days left behind The flood comes to recreate. In sunrise air With vision bears in mind and heart, With hope to find a place to dream another day, away From word wars, suspicious limiting Of animals we would become. Neglected shadows stir unseen Return to lost sacred things That soar in memory In motions on the morning breath. You are that ocean tide of diamond Clean and clear. Hold on, just let it be This whole world in me All life is poetry

Lost inside of time and thought, where only I can see, and be nothing. The multitudes, the daily news, compete to own my mind and the powers of time. But I am the finest grain swirling beneath the sea, Free and wide as sky’s winged infinity. Moving from center, spider web dance, vision, thought, a chance To bring forth from aching, still deep, treasure for all to see and be. I listen to silent thoughts before sleep. We are the light of the whispering world of dreams. Standing still with your starlight face A moment arrives in a moment missed, While I sit in awe of some passing bliss And wonder just what this whole world is. To simply walk with the song of things. A healing dance through old story. When what’s lost is relationship To all in breath, balance, and harmony.

about

"Remember the sky that you were born under,
know each of the star's stories.
Remember the moon, know who she is.
Remember the sun's birth at dawn, that is the
strongest point of time. Remember sundown
and the giving away to night.
Remember your birth, how your mother struggled
to give you form and breath. You are evidence of
her life, and her mother's, and hers.
Remember your father. He is your life, also.
Remember the earth whose skin you are:
red earth, black earth, yellow earth, white earth
brown earth, we are earth.
Remember the plants, trees, animal life who all have their
tribes, their families, their histories, too. Talk to them,
listen to them. They are alive poems.
Remember the wind. Remember her voice. She knows the
origin of this universe.
Remember you are all people and all people
are you.
Remember you are this universe and this
universe is you.
Remember all is in motion, is growing, is you.
Remember language comes from this.
Remember the dance language is, that life is.
Remember."
